Cameras/lenses and Lights
I own a range of Sony cameras suitable for most shoots. Owning my camera equipment ensures that each item is well maintained and I have a thorough technical knowledge of all my equipment. My kit has been setup primarily for interviews, features and documentaries and I am currently using a Sony Fx9 and Fx6 with both having a dynamic range of 15+ stops due to a full-frame back-illuminated Exmor R CMOS sensor and a two Sony ZV E1 mirrorless cameras which use the same sensor as the Fx3. This wide dynamic range allows for capturing a vast amount of detail in both shadows and highlights that can be paired with either IronGlass MkII Soviet Cine prime lenses known for dreamy flares and swirly bokeh, or a 3 lens set of DZO Catta zooms that have a natural, warm authentic character with sharp details centre frame that fall off nicely towards the edges and pleasing, creamy bokeh. They prioritise realistic warm colour reproduction, natural skin tones and have a very different look compared to my Sony glass (zoom & primes) known for their exceptional sharpness, high contrast, and ability to produce a smooth, pleasing bokeh along with Nanlite/Godox COB and panel lights, various modifiers/diffusion, slider and sound kit.
